I don’t even know where wind comes from but I know that lately it’s been getting made somewhere in the Northeast.
It’s been back to bundling up for the road rides. Yesterday FroDoh and I got out to our around Kenosha for a while. A couple of hours worth in a trip out to Bong Rec and back. Getting there was pretty fun but things were noticeably different at the turn for home. I don’t know what the wind speeds were but I do know that they were sustained and that there isn’t much to hide behind on the Kenosha Co highways.
Today’s jaunt was a ride out to Wind Lake, appropriately named. Wind again were out of the Norteast and were reported to be pinned at 16 mph. Once at the turn I kept it at Steady Eddie pace for the 25 miles left to get me back. After all nobody likes a hero. It was a leisurely 47 miles in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Well now that it’s 3 in the afternoon and I’m off from work today I’m taking a much needed nap.
