TBT Recap

I’ve been sooper lazy about getting a recap or a legit post up here about the ‘Thursday Bloody Thursday’ ride. It’s only Saturday now but it already seems like Thanksgiving was ages ago already.

We started out at ‘Jeffro’s Pub’ and rallied about 14 bikes together for the ride. Temps were plenty frozen for the 0800 departure time. Fatness wasn’t able to defend his title in this years unofficial ‘Short and Fat’ race as the guy that was bringing the short was feeling the pressure. A noteworthy appearance was to have Justin there and back home for the Holiday, I mean geesh it’s like the kid never left already. Either way he was out there tearing it up.

The trails were for the most part as perfect as they could be. The sections that were cleared for leaves were pristine and lightly coated with a small layer of frosted crust. One of the new culverts came in handy as there was already water forming on the trail section and we were able to avoid frozen wet feet by going over it instead of through it. When it was said and done I’d have to give the race day winner to Jeffro. He was nailing it through most of the sections out there and taking names. Here’s a nice pic of ‘JBone’ popping over a log crossing located on the north side of the river.

I had one of Nic that I was going to post too but apparently he slams his eyes tightly shut when attempting to maneuver over obstacles, so I figured that I’d avoid the embarrassment. After the ride we made it back to the hot spot and indulged in some early AM Bloodies and a breakfast feast fit for singletrack kings. here are some pics from the pub.

It was a good morning thanks to all in attendance and especially thanks to Lou and Jeffro for once again being such killer host.

The weekend report. Riding is on the agenda. I was able to get out yesterday and at this point I’d rather actually prefer the weather to be a little colder for the sake of the trails. It was nosing around the high 30′s to low 40′s and it was plenty warm enough to make the trails really muddy out at Pets. Tomorrow  calls for some good weather too and may be a good day to make it out to the Muir if there are any takers??

There’s a little Kenosha Rumor that there may be some media in store for a certain BCB member?? Time will tell.
