Last night I coaxed the grandpa out. With dementia starting to kick in it took him a little bit to locate all of bike bicycle essentials. After short order we were able to get him dressed, both shoes on the correct foot, and helmet on frontside front.
We set out to do the 25 miler on the fat tire bikes. With the Tour of Tosa on our minds we knew that yesterday we’d settle for nothing less than blood pouring out of our legs. Second agenda for the ride, try to locate my insolate blinky thing that made a daring escape from my seatpost bag yesterday.
We managed to blow out my MPH average from yesterday. We pinned down a 15.3 mph average for the 25 miles and the gearing wasn’t overwhelming. What was noticeable was any starting and stopping. Anything under 14 mph took ‘doin work’ to get that big fat wheel in the rear going. Once it was rolling though it was just Steady Eddie. My average HR was even down by 6 beats per minute compared to yesterday.
I didn’t find my Blinky Thing so that leaves 2 things on the Punishment List

2. Any person who passes out “special directions” for the Racine Folks.
