2nd week of real training since this decision to go to MOAB. Joe, Montie, myself and an unnamed 4th are going to actually do this crazy 24 hour thing in Utah. Returning to a 5:00 a.m. wake-up call has been surprisingly dark in many respects. It is literally dark! I have my coffee and patiently wait for the sun to rise in the east. Usually out a little before 6, and if Pets is dry….it’s a 15 mile door-to-door loop, and if Pets is wet….it’s a 25 mile road loop. Today was road and averaged 20.6 mph thanks to the unnamed fellow Hayes rider who mysteriously showed up behind me, but, never caught me, so he will simply remain a mystery and a motivation for the day. I should be at a solid 5 hours of training for this week, but when you subtract the 8 hours of drinking and eating at State Fair on Tuesday, it probably puts that at -3, but who’s counting. Props to the mexican corn in a cup – favorite fair food of the day! 2 days left to train this week and one more trip to State Fair coming up Saturday will unfortunately keep me in the negative column, but I will persevere.
I have had more time to train since I am STILL WAITING for some parts for Lenny’s Honda. Hoping to get those today and wrap that up and get it out of here by the weekend. My customers would never have to wait that long for Harley parts I assure you. Buy American! Out of here and off to work.
Do I understand that we will be opening Jeffro’s patio section on Saturday? 70′s and clear I hear! Poyfect! We shouldn’t have the same “wet” problem as the wheelie contest night anyway. Anyone feeling “corny”? Hope you’re staying dry today Fro. Luv ya!
Darnit!! I’ll be working!!!
