Broken Blog

Through the great communication of dude to dude I thought that the BCB was hacked/wacked/down/or just late on back rent. When I went to the site from my computer the page only came up blank and with an error message that resembled something like this:

 kaewjdfb28974rfoicbnio`7yxb9`uheliycbp98eyc9.bellecitybikersajhefbuhgfuwckjehwbckjbajkehbawkjhbv98792830iejhfaskbef827ciabc;;;;;…ansckajb jwcbkqbecifgi2bci2hficbzHEfiwficn3/picco’1bellcityshizzle.donteven thinkabout it\ewwwwweeeee

So that prompted a kite to Gnic webmaster extra ordinarier:

Me to Gnic: Hey what’s up with the Blaugh? We gotta get it fixed otherwise the 2.4 people that actiually read it might be in peril (which isn’t a Chilean city near Peru or a spanish combination of Perro plus pupil)

Gnic to Me: Yeah, I know. I’ve ben thinking about that too.

Me thinking to Me: (Hmmmm, okay)

So after a few weeks I decide to actually check the site from another computer and apparently it was just my link that was botched up. The Grandpa (Gnic) did a little digging around and the problem is now corrected. So now it kinda feels like January just flew by. At least it terms of the BCB site it did, which is perfectly fine with me to. January is like the darkest hour in terms of winter months around here. No matter where you go or who you see you just end up bumping into people and can’t help but think that we’re all cooped up in our dens and rarely venturing farther than is absolutely necessary. Conversations are even brief, to the point, and you almost want to finish off each interaction with, “See you after the thaw”.

Well that’s all behind us now anyways. February Stars here we come!!

With steady Belle City temps hanging out around 27 degrees the weekend called for impromptu fat tire rides in the woods and on what were suspected to be trails. Saturday G and I got out and spun around Pets and eventually ran into some of the locals from the Tuesday Night Clan.

After realizing that the best trails were the ones beaten down around and near the river we decided to make it a couple of loops around in the woods on Sunday too, this time Jeffro was in the cut too.

Feels good to be outside without getting windburn and dipping into the deep freeze.

With the temps scorching the mid 30’s by 3 Pm I thought that it’d be a good opportunity to get the Ganster Langster moving. I also thought that it’d be a good opportunity to see if I could get 80% of my face windburnt. Success on both ends. It felt really good to be out on the road for a January spin. I was hiking around the woods yesterday with the fam and had a ton of bike envy going on. So today no hiking.

That’s a premier look of the new shutter action from my Olympus Stylus Tough. Shock proof, water proof, heavy duty and hopefully it will last me longer than than my last camera, which was a really really nice camera but not even close to being tremor or even spit proof. My last camera was from Xmas of 08 and lasted me flawlessly until exactly the Iola race in May of 09. It still took okay pictures it’s just that you couldn’t use any of its features and you never knew what kind of shots you were taking as the LCD screen wouldn’t work. Then came the shutters getting blown off of the lens followed closely by side panel getting ripped off, you know the one that normally held on the wrist strap.

RIP 08 Xmas camera

Today’s ride was a jaunt on well known roads. By the time I was heading home I was racing sundown. I felt a little under-dressed once I was rolling in some shadows. I’ll have to prepare better tomorrow. Beats being in the gym any day.

This is classified as the worlds most slippery bridge when wet, as seen in such a condition below

img_0788.JPG

A possible consequence to attempting passing over a water crossing on the worlds most slippery bridge, when wet, could result in a sore knee and instant hair growth on yer legs (or at least the leg that impacts said bridge)

It might be high time for a skinny hamster wheel to be put in place there

Would you try it??
